About COCHIN

Who We Are

COCHIN (Coalition of Orphanages in Nigeria) is a national network of orphanages and homes dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children across Nigeria. We bring together orphanage proprietors, caregivers, and community members from all six geo-political zones of Nigeria, working collectively to provide care, protection, and opportunities for orphans and vulnerable children to thrive.

Founded on the belief that every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment, COCHIN has become a leading voice for child welfare and protection in Nigeria, advocating for the rights of vulnerable children and supporting orphanages with the resources they need to deliver quality care.

COCHIN

COCHIN is a coalition of orphanages in Nigeria which cuts across the six (6) geo-political zones of Nigeria.

Empowering Vulnerable Children Across Nigeria

We are committed to providing a platform for reaching out to vulnerable children, offering them protection, shelter, and a family environment. What We Do

COCHIN works across multiple areas to ensure the well-being and development of vulnerable children

  • Child Welfare and Protection We collaborate with orphanages to provide safe, nurturing environments for children, ensuring they receive the care they deserve.
  • Education We provide access to education, from basic school supplies to scholarships, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn and grow.
  • Healthcare We ensure children have access to healthcare services, including medical check-ups, vaccinations, and mental health support.
  • Skills Empowerment Our vocational training programs, like the Baking Skills Development Course, equip youths with practical skills that promote self-reliance and independence.
