Participants graduating from baking course
COCHIN, the Coalition of Orphanages in Nigeria, recently celebrated the graduation of participants from its inaugural Baking Course, aimed at empowering vulnerable youths with practical skills to foster self-reliance. The event, held at the COCHIN training center, marked the culmination of weeks of hands-on training in various baking techniques, equipping participants with the tools needed to build a better future.
The baking course, part of COCHIN’s Skills Empowerment Initiative, was designed to provide participants from orphanages and vulnerable backgrounds with professional baking skills. Participants learned everything from the basics of bread-making to the intricacies of decorating cakes for special occasions. This program was not only about teaching technical skills but also about instilling a sense of confidence and independence among the youth.
